Time on your hands? Looking for something to read? Here on Substack, I’ve been posting weekly chapters of a new novel called LILY. Lily is a little girl who discovers a murderer is living in her neighborhood. You can also find all the chapters of a novel called THE HEAD, a horror story with streaks of humor. The blurb: “It takes a village to raise a child. To defeat evil, you will need a neighborhood, or at least a trailer court and a bar.” If you venture back even farther into my archives, you will find the first 14 chapters of a novel called THE YEAR OF THE MURDERS. A young professor arrives at a small Catholic College. And then nuns start dying. (This one may get published. A guy can hope.) If you go back even further, you will find 50 poems, most of them love poems I wrote for my wife. If you really want to go on a Gary Arms binge, you can find four of my novels available online at Amazon and similar sites, JACK DEWITT IS CLUELESS and JACK DEWITT IS AN IDIOT. They chronicle the adventures of a boy growing up in the 1960s. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. And RONALD, THE BOY WHO WAS ALLERGIC TO EVERYTHING. And finally, my favorite, POSY, a novel about two grad students, an alcoholic bisexual working on a dissertation about witches and her roommate, a young woman who may possibly be a genius poet. Or not.
